Where summers are pleasant and winters are real... Where are we? Bank house is situated in Auchbreck, a hamlet of ten houses at a junction of the B9008/9 in the north east
corner of the Glenlivet Crown Estate. Eight miles north of Tomintoul - the highest village in the Highlands, and eleven miles south of Dufftown - the Whisky capital of the world. Roughly
halfway between Aberdeen and Inverness. Bank House is also about two hundred yards from the river Livet, which marks the boundary of the Cairngorms National Park, and about half a mile from us is the Speyside Way (Tomintoul spur). For maps and detailed travel descriptions click here |
