As a bed & breakfast we do not generally provide an evening meal. There is however a good selection of restaurants in the area, some within walking distance. The below
list is ranked by distance and is limited to the local area, including Tomintoul (8 miles), Dufftown (11 miles), Aberlour (13 miles) and Craigellachie (15 miles). We have not visited all of
these yet and thus cannot give our personal opinion on each restaurant: The Croft Inn Our local pub and a good place to meet the locals.
During 2013 the Croft Inn has undergone refurbishment and has reopend under
new management. The Delnashaugh Hotel & Restaurant This hotel has recently reopened under new management for the 2014 season. Five miles from Bank House on the A95 and on the Ballindalloch Estate The Clockhouse Restaurant Highland cuisine at the square in the centre of Tomintoul. Good food in and a relaxed ambiance. The Glenavon Hotel A small family run hotel at the square in the centre of Tomintoul. There is a restaurant and a lounge bar serving bar meals. A Taste of Speyside As the name suggests the restaurant offers the local cuisine. A small restaurant in the centre of Dufftown with good quality food at a reasonable price. The Mash Tun A small pub beside the old railway station on the Speyside way in Aberlour. Good food for a reasonable price. Dowans Hotel & restaurant at the south end of Aberlour has a bistro style restaurant. The Copper Dog restaurant at the Craigellachie Hotel A large hotel in Craigellachie featuring a bistro style restaurant. Highlander Inn A small inn in Craigellachie where meals are served both in the restaurant and the bar. They bar also boasts an extensive whisky collection. |
