The Glenlivet 10k
'The Most Beautiful Run in Scotland' organised by Chest Heart & Stroke
Scotland
A simply fantastic running event set in the sublime picturesque landscape
of Glenlivet in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The route
passes Bank House B&B. 2018 Will see the third edition of this event
taking place, and we hope the weather will be as stunning as the previous
two years.
The event is based at the legendary Glenlivet distillery with superb
hospitality and quality event organisation throughout. Runners of all
levels are welcome and by taking part you are directly supporting those
affected by chest, heart and stroke illness.

Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival
Speyside. A truly local event. A lively celebration of our national drink.
You can visit and tour most of the local distileries during the festival
which also features tasting sessions, a gala dinner, ceilidh
and exhibitions.

Cornhill Highland Games.
Traditional Highland Games, held at the Cornhill Playing Field.
Events start 11pm. Several Pipe Bands will be playing at various
times during the day. There are the traditional heavy events as
well as track and field events. In the evening there will be a disco
held in the marquee and the grueling 8.5 mile Knock Hill race will be run.

Competition. Pipe band competition for 18 pipe bands, festival of
Highland dancing, bothy ballad competition, trade stands and refreshment

Portsoy. One of the biggest gathering of traditional boats in Scotland,
where visitors can discover, enjoy and join in maritime activities,

Inverness Highland Games.
The biggest and most spectacular Highland Games staged in the Scottish
Highlands plays host to the World Championship for Heavies aged 40 years
and over. In addition there are pipe band competitions, Highland dancing,
solo piping and traditional music.

bands.

The Ballater Highland Games is a wonderfully colourful and enjoyable day of sport,
music and dancing held amongst beautiful hills on the edge of the village.

premier agricultural events. With main ring entertainment, acres of trade stands,

Thunder in the Glens.
This is probably one of the lagrest Harley Davidson gatherings taking
place in Europe. Most of the event takes place in Aviemore, with a 'ride-out'
on Saturday leading to Grantown on Spey. Don't try to book accommodation in
Aviemore during the event as it will get busy! Just come to Bank House instead!

Lonach Highland Gathering and Games.
This is one of the oldest Highland Gatherings in Scotland and is well worth a visit.
Nowhere else will you see the March of Clansmen which is unique, and is led by the
Lonach Pipe Band. The Men of Lonach, attired in full Highland dress armed with pikes
and Lochaber battleaxes, march around the arena at 1pm. The Games are supported by
the leading athletes, pipers and dancers who go through a fine programme of traditional
events, in the heavy, light athletics, piping and dancing sections. Lonach march
commences at 8am, Games begin at 12noon and finish around 5.30pm.

Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship,
Carrbridge. Amateur and professional chefs gather in Carrbridge from around the UK and
further afield to compete for the famed Golden Spurtle trophy and claim the title as
World Porridge-making Champion.
